Race Routes

FAST & SCENIC Race Routes!

All 3 races start at the same location, but at different times, on Mountain Ave, just east of Meldrum Street. The races run west down Mountain to the Grandview Cemetery. The 5k will turn around here & run Mountain Ave back on the south side of the road (east bound lane), turn left on Howes & finish at Civic Center Park. 5k Course Map

The 10k race will split from the 5k course taking at right on Grandview Ave to Laporte. Left on Laporte to Taft Hill Road, right on Taft Hill Road to the Poudre Bike Trail. Right onto the Poudre Bike trail & run on the trail along the Poudre River to just past Martinez Park, taking the trail South, before reaching College Ave, & running up to Cherry Street. Cross Cherry street to Mason & run back to Mountain Ave, taking a right on Mountain back to Howes Street, right on Howes to the finish line at Civic Center Park. 10k Course Map

The Half Marathon route follows the same route as the 10k, running west on Mountain Ave to Grandview, then North on Taft Hill Road to the Poudre Bike Trail running along the River. Just after Lee Martinez Park (~mile 5.7) the half marathon continues on the Poudre Bike Trail going under College Ave staying on the trail out to Timberline Road. Just before the trail goes under Timberline Road there will be a turnaround (~mile 9) & the race comes back on the trail to where you turned earlier just west of College Ave. Here (~mile 12.4 you turn left heading South on the trail up to Mason Street running to Mountain Ave, turn right on Mountain Ave, right & Howes Street to the finish line at Civic Center Park.  The Half Marathon route is run on a beautiful, scenic & mostly shady, relatively flat (+258 ft/-258ft) course.
